Take responsibility – Escaping the culture war is not enough

Culture and power radiate from the cities outward. From the lowlands in space to the highlands and hinterlands. They follow the natural flows of energy found in geography. The lowest points, by rivers and oceans and following valleys, are where energy collects and concentrates.

Culture and power in our civilization is no different. It resides in cities like New York, LA, Toronto, Montreal, London and Paris.

These cities are also the most far-left. They are where far-left ideas and opinions are the norm. Where they become legislation. Where the leftist media resides.

Your natural reaction may be to withdraw from these places. To escape to the country side. To escape the insanity.

But the battle for our civilization will be won or lost in these cities. And if we desert them, we will lose. The ideas which repulse most will cement themselves. They will become law. They will change your country around you. If left unchecked, they will chase you to the most remote corners of your country until all safe havens vanish.

I know this because his has happened before.

It happened to Russia one hundred years ago during its civil war. At the time, most Russians in most regions were traditional and tsarist. But it was in St Petersburgh and Moscow, the two major cities, where the cultural seas shifted to Bolshevism. Even if vast swathes of the countryside and the smaller cities remained loyal to the White Army, in the end the Reds expanded from the cities and took over Russia.

The consequence was the evisceration of old Russia from the world map forever. It would never return, and it launched the entire 20th century drama pitting communism against the world, a drama still playing out today.

There are epic consequences to what happens in the cities. History doesn’t repeat but it rhymes.

Today, the West is settling eerily in the same pattern where the cultural divide stands largely between the liberal cities, where wealth and power are concentrated, and the conservative heartland, largely countryside.

Escaping to the countryside is good. You can insulate yourself and your family from the craziness festering in the cities. But, as Alex Jones has prophesized, it is not enough. Without and active fight for your country’s soul, it will soon be too late. The darkness of modern liberalism will soon mobilize the discontent of the miserable urban masses to go and get you in the country. And by then, their numbers will be too big to resist. The fight is raging in the cities. Complete withdrawal from political and economic institutions is not an option for survival.

This echoes what happened in Russia so eerily.

We are on the verge of living an epic tragedy, or of saving our civilization.

The choice is yours.
