Insanity is doing the same thing expecting a different result.
With every year, the Canadian zeitgeist seems to slip more and more into insanity.
Why do Canadians feel like they should be prideful of a country that is failing them? Why do they scoff at outside criticism, as if it’s going so well for them? Why do they want more of the same?
Recently, Trump has been floating the idea of Canada joining the US.
Wow! What a great opportunity that would be! Lower your taxes, participate in the largest and wealthiest economy in the history of the world, get a better currency, live anywhere in North America, cut your housing costs in half, get higher pay, get better defense, exchange the paper rights you have in Canada for real rights like freedom of speech and the right to protect yourself.
It sounds like a dream.
You probably guessed I am in the minority. The overarching reaction in Canada hasn’t been to embrace Trump’s offer.
It’s been shocking vitriol.
It’s been rallying behind Mark Carney, a globalist who would see you starve to become king of Canada.
How do people not see this as a wake-up call, as a sign to self-reflect?
Your closest ally offers you to abandon ship and join them. Shouldn’t that make you take a hard look in the mirrow? How weak and fragile you must look for your ally to even offer you this olive branch?
It’s a sign that Canada appears so weak, and its population so in despair, that the US thought Canadians would abandon it.
Many Canadians (the modern-liberals I like to call them) are so self-righteous, they actually believe that their country is better than the US. They believe their life is better being Canadian than what it would be being Americans.
They have no idea how much poorer they are compared to Americans. And they’re getting increasingly poorer.
Canadians are like frogs in a slowly boiling pressure cooker. For a long time, things were fine. Like anyone whose been in a hot tub, it’s nice when you get in.
After a while, the heat starts getting uncomfortable. This is where Canadians are.
Usually, this is where you’d get out for air. Cool off. Reset.
Canadians are slowly finding that there’s a lid over their heads. They can’t get out. They’re not Americans, actually. Their passport doesn’t get them far. Even so, they don’t have the money to travel. Their country only has 7 cities, all woke and expensive. They are stuck.
The fight has come and gone. Canada’s laws are already cemented as woke, left and hellscapish. That opportunity is over, actually. Canada’s laws have already changed over the last 10 years, seemingly under the average person’s nose. The foundation for its economic decline has already been laid.
Some have been shouting in the wind this whole time. Many are just waking up. A few made it out a while ago and became expats before the lid came on.
This is he reality staring them in the face:
- Self defense is effectively illegal.
- Guns are increasingly illegal.
- Wrong-thought counter to the official “[a] message from the Government of Canada” are grounds for censorship, de-banking, persecution and prosecution.
- The government already controls the algorithm by which you see the world online.
- Taxes are suffocating. Regulations are infinite. Penalties for non-compliance are usurious.
- The country’s economy is pitiful, uncompetitive and 3rd-rate with lackluster salaries.
- Freedoms only exist on paper until courts throw them away.
- Corruption abounds in government.
- Dispair is increasing exponentially. Euthonasia is mainstream. Hard drugs are available and normalized. Government-dependancy cheques and housing are freely available and encouraged (you don’t bite the hand that feeds you).
- Parents no longer have rights to their own children. They will be separated and jailed for not affirming gender dysmorphia, likely socially engineered in schools who extort your taxes to indoctrinate your kids.
- Heating and freedom of movement are restricted with high prices by way of energy taxes.
- Your culture, family, where you grew up and all that is familiar to you are being erased with drowning immigration.
- This is also skyrocketing house prices, making you a forever renter.
These are all on the ground realities, or laws on the books.
The cognitive dissonance is slowly dawning on Canadians as they start to maybe see cracks in their conception of their country as a great place to live, and themselves as wealthy people.
But a vast number are having an unnerving reaction to this: they quickly shut their brains before they get permanently red–pilled.
They double down on the Kool-Aid. They crank up CBC, actively ignoring the fissures.
It’s as if they were in a 30 year marriage and know deep down their partner is cheating, yet burry the truth to hide from the pain.
It’s easier to lie to yourself that all is well. That your life will go on fine. That your country will prosper. That your politicians, institutions and laws are just and trustworthy. That your children will have a future….than to even consider that you are trapped in an authoritarian, declining country, that your kids are hopeless and will be poor, that all your leaders are corrupt and lying to you, that you have become morally bankrupt.
Sometimes, countries turn around. They build bigger and stronger, accumulating more land, wealth and power.
Many also fall out of alignment, out of balance. They start to wobble, become decadent, and decrepit.
A country is just the result of people’s spirits and minds aligning and agreeing.
The spirit of Canadians, along with Europeans, seem to be in the end stages of decrepitude and decadence. Their citizens, once great, energetic and proud, now only want to live in comfort without having to exert energy. They vote for the politicians that tell them the lie they want to hear: that the government will provide for them without having to work.
All the while, everyone is living on debt. Government debt, personal debt, the debt in society from letting everything degrade. By not reinvesting. By sucking the value from what was built by past generations to the point of failure.
It takes a long time for seemingly permanent things reach a breaking point. Little things add up, slowly, like inflammation in the body.
But when they break, they collapse all at once.
You find out you have cancer in one shot.
Imperial Russia existed for 4 centuries and was wiped out in only a couple years.
There too, it took 20 years for rot to build. And people ignored it. Until they lived irrevocably in the USSR. They couldn’t go back.
Canadians are living in severe denial, chasing a high, knowing deep down that their behaviours will destroy them. But at the same time, not wanting to change because the high is so good. Crucially, the withdrawal to reality is too hard to bear.
The country and Canadians are living on borrowed time.
If nothing changes, as it appears nothing will change enough to matter, Canada will become the Argentina of the next 30 years.
Once free and wealthy. Now socialist, poor and dysfunctional.
Unless Canadians make a 180° shift and get their head out of the sand, it’s sadly the natural consequence of their current attitudes, beliefs and voting patterns.
